Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Airlines Sign MoU for Joint International Tourism PromotionTuesday, December 2nd, 2025
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 2, 2025 to jointly promote Nepal’s tourism products in international markets. With this partnership, both institutions have agreed to collaborate on global tourism fairs, digital campaigns, familiarization trips (FAM trips), joint publicity, mega events, and branding activities—marking a new phase in Nepal’s tourism diplomacy.
Under the MoU, NTB will provide Nepal Airlines complimentary participation as a “Partner Airline” in all major promotional programs, including international travel fairs, sales missions, roadshows, press meets, and FAM trips. In return, Nepal Airlines will offer up to 100 kg of promotional materials free of charge on its flight destinations, provide gift tickets for joint events, and extend discounted ticket facilities. Both organizations will work together on FAM trips involving influential personalities, journalists, bloggers, tour operators, and celebrities to promote Nepal’s positive image globally.
The agreement also outlines integrated cooperation in digital advertising, promotional videos, joint branding, website link support, and the production of joint hoarding boards for Nepal’s destinations and tourism products. NTB and NAC will jointly produce brochures, guidebooks, posters, and culturally rich promotional materials as needed. They will also collaborate on national day celebrations abroad, trade events, and mega events in Nepal featuring foreign artists, filmmakers, athletes, and celebrities, for which NAC will provide concessionary tickets.
This partnership is expected to make Nepal’s tourism promotion structure more dynamic, coordinated, and result-oriented. Both organizations will prepare a joint report every six months to evaluate the effectiveness of collaborative activities.
Following the signing of the MoU, NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi described the collaboration as a historic step toward enhancing Nepal’s global image and market outreach. He stated, “Nepal Airlines is our national pride, and tourism is its core driver. This strategic partnership will help elevate the ‘Nepal Brand’ globally with stronger promotion and visibility. From airport to destination, integrated promotion will make Nepal’s identity clearer and more impactful.”
He further emphasized the long-term significance of the collaboration, adding, “Our joint efforts—from FAM trips and mega events to digital campaigns and international fairs—will take Nepal’s tourism sector to new heights.”
