Bhardeu #photoNepal Exhibition Opens at Nepal Tourism Board Showcasing Cultural and Religious HeritageFriday, February 6th, 2026

A photo exhibition titled “Konjyosom Bhardeu” officially opened today at Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Bhrikutimandap, showcasing the rich religious, cultural, and natural heritage of Bhardeu, Ward No. 5 of Konjyosom Rural Municipality.

The exhibition is jointly organized by Konjyosom Rural Municipality–5, Bhardeu and the Konjyosom Religious Tourism Committee, with the objective of promoting cultural and tourism development by highlighting the area’s religious sites, landscapes, and living traditions through photography.

The exhibition features a total of 42 photographs, including 8 life-size display images, all captured by renowned photographer and tourism campaigner Mr. Laxmi Prasad Ngakhusi. The images reflect the spiritual ambiance, scenic beauty, and vibrant cultural life of Bhardeu and surrounding areas, offering visitors an immersive visual experience.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Sunil Sharma, Officiating Director of Nepal Tourism Board, highlighted NTB’s continued collaboration with photographers and destinations to promote Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings through visual storytelling. He also shared that NTB has recently launched a new digital photography promotion platform, www.photonepal.org, aimed at creating a dedicated space for showcasing Nepal’s destinations through high-quality photography and engaging photographers in destination promotion.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Mr. Rajan Ghimire, Vice Chair of Konjyosom Rural Municipality; Mr. Bijaya Sightan, Ward Chair of Konjyosom Rural Municipality–Ward No. 5; and Mr. Gopilal Singtan, Chair of the Konjyosom Religious Tourism Committee, reflecting strong local leadership support for promoting religious and rural tourism through creative and community-based initiatives.

The exhibition is part of NTB’s broader efforts to position lesser-known destinations by leveraging photography, storytelling, and digital platforms to inspire travel and promote authentic local experiences.

The Bhardeu Photo Exhibition will remain open to visitors from February 6 to 8 (Magh 23–25), 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
