January 17, 2025 – A high-level meeting took place today among major tourism associations, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), and Kirtipur Municipality to discuss strategies for promoting tourism in Kirtipur.

Addressing the meeting, NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi emphasized NTB’s ongoing efforts to brand Kirtipur as a key destination for local tourism. “Kirtipur was the first area chosen for local tourism branding, and we are committed to promoting it further. Collaborative efforts among tourism associations, the municipality, and NTB will be crucial to achieving this goal,” he stated.

Kirtipur Mayor Krishna Man Dangol highlighted the municipality’s dedication to creating the infrastructure needed to enhance tourist facilities. “We are eager to collaborate with tourism stakeholders to transform Kirtipur into a prominent tourism destination,” he said.
