Far West Travel Mart Kicks Off In Dhangadi For Tourism Promotion of the Far West Province of Nepal

Far West Travel Mart first of its kind with an objective of promoting existing and potential tourism products and activities of Sudurpaschim Province (Far-West) of Nepal began from today in Dhangadhi, Sub Metropolitan city of Nepal with the promotional brand of Beautiful Farwest : Shukla to Api Saipal. More than 60 tour operators and media people from border cities of India are invited in the mart as buyers. Local tour operators are participating in the mart as sellers.
Inaugurating the mart, Hon’ble Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Prem Bahadur Ale lauded the role played by the tourism entrepreneurs for promoting Far-West since the province is ecologically, culturally and religiously diverse region of the country that borders cities of India.

Hon’ble Minister further informed that a five-member task force has been formed under his leadership to conduct research on the possibilities and opportunities aimed at developing new infrastructures and revamping the existing ones such as upgrading the Dhangadhi Airport as the regional international airport of Nepal. He also informed that Government of Nepal is planning to construct fast track from Dhangadhi via Doti, Chainpur (Bajhang) to Uraibhanjyang (Border of China). This will make the distance of Kailash Manararovar from Delhi, the capital city of India, around 750 Km, the shortest route. He urged the friends of Nepal from India to bring foreign investment from India in tourism sector of Nepal. He mentioned that the province has two national parks, one is Shuklaphanta National Park very close to India and another Khaptad National Park in mountainous region.

Similarly, Mayor of Dhangadhi, Sub metropolitan city Mr. Nirpa Bahadur Odd said that the mart has provided an opportunity for the Indian tour operators to know the attractive products and destinations of the province and thus will help to bring more visitors from India in coming days. Speaking at the program, Sr. Director at Nepal Tourism Board Mr. Hikmat Singh Ayer viewed that the mart has provided an opportunity to showcase the Far-West as a destination rich in nature, culture and pilgrimage. Sr. Director Ayer lauded the role played by tourism entrepreneurs from both countries, India and Nepal, towards making the mart a historic success in catering the demand among the Indian buyers. He disclosed that air shuttle from Dhangadhi airport is the shortest route for tour to Kailash Manasarovar.
The mart is being attended by high level government officials, tour operators from India, representatives from tourism associations stationed in various parts of country, tourism entrepreneurs, media personnel from India and Nepal among others.

The mart organized in joint collaboration with NTB office based in Kathmandu, NTB office based in Dhangadi, NATA Far-west, Dhangadi municipality office is scheduled to end on April the 10th.

धनगढीमा तीन दिने ‘फारवेष्ट ट्राभल मार्ट २०२२’ शुरु
भारतीय पर्यटकको आकर्षणको केन्द्र बन्ने अपेक्षा

सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशको पर्यटन प्रवद्र्धन गर्ने उद्देश्यले चैत्र २५ गते शुक्रवार देखि धनगढीमा तीन दिने ‘फारवेष्ट ट्राभल मार्ट २०२२’ शुरु भएको छ । नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्डको प्रवद्र्धन तथा धनगढी उपमहानगरपालिका र नेपाल एसोसिएशन अफ टुर एन्ड ट्राभल एजेन्टस् (नाटा) सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशको आयोजनामा मार्ट शुरु भएको हो । मार्टको उद्घाटन गर्दै संस्कृति पर्यटन तथा नागरिक उड्डयन मन्त्री प्रेम बहादुर आलले सुदरपश्चिम प्रदेश पर्यटनका दृष्टिले अथाह सम्भावना भएको क्षेत्र भएको बताउँदै यस क्षेत्रको समग्र विकासको लागि सरकार भयो । उहाँले कोभिड पछि पर्यटन क्षेत्र विस्तारै लयमा फर्किन लागेको उल्लेख गर्दै यो मार्टले आन्तरिक तथा क्रसबर्डर पर्यटन प्रर्वद्धन हुने बताउनु भयो ।
धनगढि उपमहानगरपालिकाका मेयर नृप वडले सुदुरपश्चिम प्रदेशमा पर्यटकहरुको रोजाईमा पर्न सक्ने थुप्रै रमणिय, घुम्नलायक ठाउँहरु भएपनि प्रचारप्रसार अभावमा ति ठाउँ ओझेलमा अवश्थामा आयोजना गरिएको मार्टले पर्यटन ब्यवसायिहरुको ध्यान तान्ने र यहाँका पर्यटकिय स्थलमा बाह्य पर्यटकहरुको आकर्षण बढ्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको बताउनुभयो ।
नेपालका विभिन्न प्रदेशका पर्यटन व्यवसायीहरूको व्यवसायिक गतिविधिहरुको विकास, विस्तार र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्रोत–बजारका टुर अपरेटरहरूसँग व्यवसायिक सम्बन्ध स्थापित गर्न प्रत्येक प्रदेशमा ‘प्रादेशिक ट्राभल मार्ट‘ को आयोजना गर्ने नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्डको कार्यक्रम अनुरुप मार्ट आयोजना भएकोले यसले सुदुरपश्चिम क्षेत्रको पर्यटन प्रवद्र्धन हुने अपेक्षा गरिएको बोर्डका वरिष्ठ निर्देशक हिक्मत सिंह ऐरले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।
यसमार्टले सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशका पर्यटकीय प्याकेज, गन्तव्य तथा गतिविधिहरुको प्रचार प्रचार तथा प्रवद्र्धन हुन गई भारतीय पर्यटकहरुको आगमन संख्या बढ्न जाने र आन्तरिक पर्यटन गतिविधिहरु समेत बढ्न जाने अपेक्षा गरिएकोे नाट्टाका निवर्तमान अध्यक्ष अच्युत गुरागाईले जानकारी दिनु भयो । नाटाका अध्यक्ष रमेह थापाले कोभिडले थलिएको पर्यटनलाई लयमा फर्काउन यस्ता मार्टहरु सहयोगी हुने बताउनु भयो ।
मार्टको पहिलो दिन उद्घाटनको औपचारिक कार्यक्रमबाट सुरु भई प्रदेशको पर्यटकीय उपजको व्यावसायिकीकरण गरी आयआर्जनसम्बन्धी कार्यपत्र प्रस्तुत हुने र त्यसपछि आमन्त्रित स्वदेशी तथा विदेशी अथितिसँग व्यावसायिक अन्तरक्रिया तथा छलफलको कार्यक्रम हुने नाटा फार वेष्टका अध्यक्ष तथा मार्ट संयोजक माया प्रकाश भट्टले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।
फारवेष्ट ट्राभल मार्ट २०२२ मा सिमावर्ती भारतीय शहरहरु लखिमपुर, बरेली, रुद्रपुर, नैनीताल, देहरादुन र भारतको राजधानी दिल्लीबाट करिब ६० जना टुर अपरेटरहरुलाई क्रेता ९द्यगथभच० को रुपमा सहभागी गराई प्रदेशका टुर अपरेटर, होटेल व्यवसायी तथा पर्यटन सेवा प्रदायकहरु बीच यस क्षेत्रका टुर प्याकेजहरु बिक्री प्रवद्र्धन गर्ने विषयमा व्यवसायिक अन्तरक्रिया बी टु बी ९द्यगकष्लभकक तय द्यगकष्लभकक, द्यद्दद्य०े हुने छ । यस्तै मार्टस्थलमा सातै प्रदेशका पर्यटकीय आकर्षणहरु झल्किने पेभिलियन ९एबखष्ष्यिल०, नौवटा जिल्लाका स्टलका साथैटुर अपरेटर, होटेल व्यवसायी तथा पर्यटन सेवा प्रदायक संस्थाहरुका आकर्षक स्टलहरु निर्माण गरिएको छ । कार्यक्रममा आन्तरिक पर्यटन प्रवद्र्धनका लागि सातै प्रदेशका पर्यटन व्यवसायी प्रतिनिधिहरु बीच टुर प्याकेजहरुको आदान प्रदान हुनेछ ।
