Message From the CEOTuesday, October 12th, 2021
The holiday season has arrived, bringing in a slew of good news. I am delighted to announce that the Government of Nepal issued an updated Travel Protocol on Sept. 23 which has eased travelling to Nepal, with On-Arrival Visa and No Quarantine restrictions for the Fully Vaccinated. Another great piece of news is that Nepal has officially been removed from the UK Travel Red List, easing travel between UK and Nepal.
With UK being Nepal’s prime value market, NTB is participation at the World Travel Market, London, on Nov. 1-3, 2021, where 8 Nepali companies will be present with the Ministry of Tourism and NTB.
As the country opens up to tourism after a gap a year and half of COVID-19 pandemic, our top priority is the health and safety of our visitors as well as the Nepali people. Vaccination rates in the country have accelerated while those in popular mountain regions like Everest, Langtang are almost cent percent. Similarly, safety protocol are set up at all entry points, international and domestic airports, hotels, restaurants, heritage sites and major tourism stops.
A time for revival, recovery and rejuvenation, we are prepared to welcome our visitors ensuring “quality” over “quantity”, “collaboration” over “competition”, “sustainability” over “ultra consumerism”, and “authenticity” over “commercialization”. Finally, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Dashain and a Great Season of Tourism ahead!
Dr. Dhananjay Regmi
Chief Executive Officer
