Nepal Evening in Berlin Promotes Nepal’s Tourism at ITB Berlin 2026Sunday, March 8th, 2026

The Embassy of Nepal in Berlin, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board, organized “Nepal Evening” as a special sideline event of ITB Berlin 2026 on 3 March 2026 to promote Nepal’s tourism.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Sagar Prasad Phuyal, Chargé d’affaires a.i., highlighted Nepal’s tourism potential, culture, and investment opportunities, while emphasizing stronger Nepal–Germany people-to-people ties. He also briefed guests on recent tourism sector reforms and invited German travelers to experience Nepal’s uniqueness.
Senior Officer of Nepal Tourism Board, Ms. Srijana Nepali, presented the current status and key initiatives of Nepal’s tourism sector through her presentation, “Destination Nepal.”
Professor Geoffrey Lipman stressed sustainable tourism and niche markets, Mr. Juergen Steinmetz shared his long association with Nepal, and Ms. Hanna Pearson highlighted Nepal’s strong potential as a premier adventure tourism destination.
The event featured cultural performances and traditional hospitality, including the offering of Nepali Dhaka Topi. Around 200 diplomats, tourism stakeholders, diaspora members, and media representatives attended this event. The programme, moderated by Mr. Ranjan Yadav, concluded with a dinner reception serving authentic Nepali cuisine.
