Nepal Food Festival in Beijing Celebrates Culinary Heritage & Cultural DiplomacyTuesday, April 22nd, 2025

The Embassy of Nepal in Beijing recently organised a lively and colourful Nepal Food Festival, aiming to showcase Nepal’s rich culinary traditions and promote cultural diplomacy. The event served as a platform to introduce authentic Nepali flavours to the Chinese audience, featuring a wide range of traditional dishes. The dishes were prepared by experienced Nepali chefs, offering guests a true taste of Nepal.
In addition to the delicious food, the festival included live cooking demonstrations, traditional music, and cultural dance performances, creating an immersive experience of Nepali culture. A highlight of the event was a presentation by Mr. Sunil Sharma, Senior Manager of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), who delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint showcasing Nepal’s tourism attractions, including its natural beauty, heritage sites, and adventure opportunities.
The event drew Chinese government officials, diplomats, media representatives, and food enthusiasts. It was part of the embassy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Nepal-China relations through cultural exchange, tourism promotion, and people-to-people connections.
