Nepal Makes a Grand Comeback in Bangladesh Tourism MarketSaturday, December 3rd, 2022

Nepal Tourism Board along with 10 private sector companies made a successful participation at the 1st edition of Bangladesh International Travel and Tourism Expo (BITTE 2022) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event held in Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) from 1st to 3rd December 2022 was organized by Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) in association with Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. The participating companies from Nepal -Trekking Venue Nepal, Himalayan Club Tours & Travel Pvt. Ltd., Nepal Big Mountain Travel Company Pvt. Ltd. , Sports Tours & Travels, Step on Himalaya Pvt. Ltd., Peak Promotion Pvt. Ltd., Outdoor Himalayan Treks, Majestic Treks Pvt. Ltd., Top of the World Adventure Pvt. Ltd., Everest Hospitality and Hotel Pvt. Ltd. had an opportunity to connect with their tourism counterparts once again.
The Expo was inaugurated by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Md. Mahbub Ali. His Excellency Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari was also present for the inauguration ceremony. The Expo participated by 15 countries had a mix of airlines, hospitals, travel agencies, tour operators, hotels and resorts. It was an ideal platform for business connections and relationships to be renewed between the Tourism fraternities. Besides participation, there were seminars all 3 days on relevant topics for everyone to get the latest insight.
Nepal stall was visited by many enthusiastic and prospective travelers with queries on visa facilities, tourism promotional offers, best itineraries and air connectivity. The information disseminated on adventure, nature, culture and other general issues drew a huge crowd to the stall. Nepal is taken as a favorite and a must see destination among the Bangladeshi people which was largely evident in their interaction. The Expo was a valuable opportunity to showcase Nepali tourism products and services to the outside world. It was an opportunity for all exhibitors to help boost travel business to normal times once again.
Along with participation at the Expo, a networking meeting was also held between the Nepalese and Bangladeshi tour operators in Nepal Embassy. His Excellency Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh also graced the function and shed light on the potentiality of Bangladesh tourism market for Nepal. His Excellency emphasized the prospects of tourism and people to people contacts to contribute to revive and promote tourism in the post Covid scenario.
