Nepal Shines at PATA Travel Mart 2025 in Bangkok with Strong Delegation and Successful EngagementsSunday, August 31st, 2025

Bangkok, August 28, 2025 – The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with the PATA Nepal Chapter, Nepal Airlines, and 14 leading tourism companies from Nepal, has successfully concluded its participation at the PATA Travel Mart 2025 (PTM 2025), held from August 26–28 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok, Thailand.

This year’s Mart, held under the theme “Designing Meaningful Tourism for a Changing World”, welcomed over 1,000 delegates from more than 50 destinations worldwide. The event featured over 400 exhibitors from 225 organizations across 30 destinations, 52% of whom were first-time participants. It also brought together 225 buyers from 218 organizations across 41 source markets, with 65% attending PTM for the first time, making it one of the most dynamic editions in recent years.

The Nepal delegation actively engaged throughout the three-day program, beginning with the PATA Knowledge Forum on August 26, which explored the future of sustainable and meaningful tourism. Later that evening, delegates attended the Welcome Reception hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, creating valuable opportunities for informal networking.

On August 27, Nepal’s representatives took part in the PTM 2025 Opening Ceremony and VIP Tour, followed by two structured business sessions. The Nepal Pavilion drew strong interest from buyers and was honored with visits from Mr. Peter Semone, Chairman of PATA, and Mr. Noor Ahmad Hamid, who praised NTB’s long-standing collaboration with PATA in advancing regional tourism. Throughout the day, the delegation promoted Nepal’s diverse offerings—ranging from adventure and trekking to culture, spirituality, and nature—and concluded with participation in the prestigious PATA Gold Awards Gala Dinner.

The final day of the Mart, August 28, featured another two rounds of business sessions, during which Nepal’s delegation conducted more than 30 structured B2B appointments. Buyers expressed significant interest in adventure and trekking experiences, heritage and cultural circuits, and Nepal’s growing community-based sustainable tourism products. The delegation was further encouraged by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Dhana Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, who visited the Nepal stall and applauded the joint efforts of NTB, PATA Nepal Chapter, Nepal Airlines, and private sector participants in positioning Nepal as one of the most welcoming destinations in the Asia-Pacific region. The final day of the Mart, August 28, featured another two rounds of business sessions, during which Nepal’s delegation conducted more than 30 structured B2B appointments.
