Nepal to Host the 3rd Meeting of the BIMSTEC Network of Tour OperatorsTuesday, February 4th, 2025
The 3rd Meeting of the BIMSTEC Network of Tour Operators is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu on February 6-7, 2025. Nepal is hosting this important gathering, bringing together esteemed representatives of national tourism organizations and private stakeholders from all BIMSTEC member countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Nepal), along with officials from the BIMSTEC Secretariat.
The meeting will serve as a vital platform for discussions on enhancing regional cooperation, promoting sustainable tourism, and exploring new opportunities within the tourism sector across BIMSTEC nations. Key agenda items include regional tourism development through effective destination management, addressing industry challenges, and identifying collaborative solutions.
Additionally, discussions will focus on the operational modalities of the BIMSTEC Buddhist Circuits and BIMSTEC Cruise Circuits, as well as visa facilitation measures to enhance intra-regional tourism.
