Nepal to Mark Its Strong Presence at the 60th edition of ITB Berlin 2026 Friday, February 27th, 2026

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), with an objective of promoting Nepal as a premium holiday destination in Europe, will participate in the 60th edition of Internationale Tourismus-Borse (ITB) scheduled from 3 – 5 March, 2026 in Berlin, Germany.
Nepal Tourism Board along with 31 experienced tourism companies, including airlines, hotels, travel and tour operators will showcase Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings at ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show. Nepal is located at Hall 5.2, Stand No. 124, where NTB and its participating companies will engage with international buyers, tour operators, travel agents, and media representatives.
Germany remains one of Nepal’s key European source markets and currently ranks 9th among the top international visitor-generating countries for Nepal. This highlights the strategic importance of Nepal’s continued presence at ITB Berlin in strengthening market engagement and expanding tourism opportunities.
Nepal’s participation at ITB 2026 underscores its continued commitment to strengthening partnerships in key European markets and expanding its global footprint. The delegation will promote Nepal’s unique blend of nature, culture, adventure, wellness, spirituality and luxury experiences, with special emphasis on sustainable tourism practices and responsible travel.
According to NTB CEO “The participation of a strong contingent of 31 private sector DMCs demonstrates robust public–private collaboration to generate quality business leads, strengthen long-term partnerships, and promote high-value tourism to Nepal. From the breathtaking Himalayan peaks to authentic cultural and immersive travel experiences, Nepal continues to offer unforgettable journeys for travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility.”
NTB CEO will also be a part of a special new segment of ITB i.e. ITB Spati in Hall7.2C. on 4 March 2026. He will do a Destination Pitch on “Nepal: Paving Paths for Responsible Tourism and Product Diversification” where he will present the international travel trade fraternity about the new products focusing Trail Based Tourism (TBT) and Sustainable Tourism Project (STP).
As part of the official program, a sideline Business-to-Business (B2B) networking event will be organized on the evening of 3rd March 2026 in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal, Berlin. The event will provide an exclusive platform for interaction between Nepali tourism stakeholders and international travel trade professionals. It aims to facilitate meaningful engagement, promote Nepal’s tourism products, and strengthen bilateral tourism cooperation.
Given Nepal’s growing popularity in Germany and the long-standing historical ties between the two countries, ITB Berlin serves as an ideal platform to promote Nepal as a safe, adventurous, and diverse destination, while providing the latest information and updates to German outbound tour operators, media representatives, and travel professionals.
German travelers are among Nepal’s key high-value visitors, particularly for trekking and adventure tourism. Nepal offers a wide range of premium and immersive experiences, including trekking, rafting, paragliding, ultralight flights, skydiving, bungee jumping, canyoning, ziplining, cable car experiences, and mountain biking. In addition, Nepal’s rich cultural diversity allows visitors to experience vibrant festivals, heritage sites, and authentic local traditions.
