Nepal Tourism Board all set to Participate in FITUR 2026Tuesday, January 20th, 2026

Nepal Tourism Board: national tourism institution of Nepal and Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA): the biggest and oldest association of travel and tour agents of Nepal with over 1500 companies across the nation, are jointly participating in FITUR2026 being held from 21^st to 25^th January 2026 in Madrid, Spain. This sets an example of public-private partnership model adopted for the promotion of Nepalese tourism. This year’s participation of Nepal aims at achieving two major objectives: 1. Prioritizing tailor-made experiential tourism over traditional template itineraries 2. Offering a unique blend of Nature, culture and adventure packages which will satisfy all taste-buds for a traveler during his/her stay in Nepal.

The package will incorporate the activities from lush green tea garden of the east through dense wildlife-teemed jungles in the south, through arid trans-Himalayan landscape in the north west, through throbbing cultural festivals and carnivalesque atmosphere in the capital city to the garland of snow-capped mountain peaks with the world’s highest peak like the cherry on the top of the ice-cream. The package will incorporate a solemn spiritual visit to the birthplace of Lord Buddha and other Buddhist sites across the nation along with the visit to UNESCO Heritage Monuments among others for those interested in cultural, spiritual and religious purpose. Rich in diversity: bio-diversity, ethnic-cultural diversity, linguistic diversity, every traveler enjoys a plethora of experiences. Every hour, one can have a different experience as per his/her interest or motivation.

Well known for its globally competitive trekking trails and renowned for its sublime status for mountaineering activities, Nepal has been attracting a large number of Spanish travelers for over seven decades, thanks to Spanish gusto for adventure and taste for culture. We receive hundreds of thousands of European travelers every year, and the trend of arrival post COVID pandemic has caught the pre-pandemic momentum. Nepal is well prepared to cater to the valued guests with renewed spirit taking every note of wellness and health safety standards. We are mindful of the newer interest of the travelers in terms of gastronomy, sustainability and inclusivity in tourism.

Nepal is well connected to the West by air as it has direct flights to Istanbul, Turkey (7hrs), Doha (5hrs), Dubai/Sharjah, UAE (5hrs), New Delhi, India (1hr), Bangkok, Thailand (3hrs) to give a perspective of the travel time. Nepal Airlines also flies to the Middle East very frequently that further adds to the connectivity profile.

All the participating companies in FITUR2026 have the experience of at least a couple of decades and they have been duly registered and recognized by the government of Nepal as providing good services and for their credibility. We request all the tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, hotels and media present here to interact with NTB officials, NATTA officials and companies regarding their potential visits and inquiries about the destination if any.
