NTB Meets With Nigerian Army Delegates to Discuss TourismTuesday, June 7th, 2022
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) at the invitation of the Nepal Army interacted with a visiting Nigerian Army Delegation about Nepal’s tourism. The 22-member delegation, which included National Defense Course (NDC) students and faculty members as well as senior Nepal Army officers, attended the interaction program in Kathmandu on May 7,2022. The delegation was given presentations and interactive programs on issues related to Nepal’s tourism.
Welcoming the NDC team, Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, CEO of NTB, stated that Nepal is a beautiful country with geographical variations, and that tourists from all over the world come for nature, culture, and adventure. He stated that interactions with the Nigerian Army would provide more information to the Nigerian tourists planning to visit Nepal in the future. Furthermore, the visiting team stated that the Nepal Army and the Nigerian Army have their own kind of relationship, and that the visit provided them with an opportunity to learn a lot about Nepal’s tourism and build public relations.
Mr. Maniraj Lamichhane, Director of NTB, gave a presentation on the overall state of Nepal’s tourism and its tourist destinations. According to Mr. Sunil Sharma, Senior Manager of NTB, Nepal’s hospitality is a major draw for adventure and wellness travelers. The delegation, which has been on a visit to Nepal since May 5, 2022, will return to Nigeria on May 11, 2022, after visiting various tourist sites and related bodies in Nepal, including Shree Sainik Command and Staff College in Shivapuri, Shree Madhya Command Headquarters in Pokhara and Shree Birendra Peace Work Training Center in Panchkhal.
