Nepal Tourism Board Celebrates 24th Anniversary

Nepal Tourism Board celebrated its 24th Anniversary on Saturday, Dec 31, 2022. While inaugurating the annual event organized at NTB premises Secretary of MoCTCA and Chairman of Board, Mr. Suresh Adhikari, emphasized on the need for new strategy by Government and NTB in coordination with the private sector to address the global shift in tourism trends. Secretary Mr. Adhikari was also positive about the return of tourist numbers to normalcy in 2023.
Similarly, Mr. Chandra Prasad Rijal, Vice President of NTB Executive Committee emphasized the importance of policy reforms for the overall development of the tourism industry.
NTB CEO Dr. Dhananjay Regmi emphasized on the importance of collaboration with the private sector in all tourism promotion initiative. He also urged the Government to prioritize the industry that contributes significantly to Nepal’s economic development through revenue and employment.

  
President of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN).) Ms. Srijana Rana, President of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), stressed that tourism was one industry most affected by Covid and stating revitalizing in time is possible only through immense work through cooperation. She also stated that tourism should be developed and promoted in accordance with regional structures.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the Secretary Mr. Adhikari felicitated Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN), Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA), Nepal India Chamber of Commerce and other organizations, for their contribution in reviving Nepal’s tourism in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic. NTB’s officials working in various branches of the board were also awarded for their exceptional contribution. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of various sports events.
Similarly, the Executive Members NTB including the Chairman Mr. Adhikari, CEO Dr. Regmi released the ‘Infocus 2022’ annual souvenir of the NTB.
