Nepal Tourism Board Showcases Nepals Tourism Potentials at MITT 2026 in MoscowSaturday, March 14th, 2026

Nepal Tourism Board successfully participated and showcased its diverse and unique travel experiences at the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) 2026 held at the Crocus Expo Center in Moscow from March 11 to 13. MITT, recognized as a premier event in the travel and tourism industry on its 32nd edition in 2026 featured exhibitors from more than 30 countries with estimated footfall above 16000 visitors, reaffirming its significance as a crucial platform for destination promotion in the region. 

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) led the show with seven private sector tour companies. Private sector representatives expressed that the platform had been ideal to reach to Russia market and were highly optimist about the outcomes of their engagements. Nepal delegation was led by Mr. Ram Chandra Tiwari, NTB Executive Committee Member and Director General of Department of Immigration together with Sr Director Santosh Panta and Sr Officer Kabindra Bhatta. Similarly, Charge d’ Affaires from Nepal Embassy in Russia Mr. Maheshwor Mani Tripathi also visited the Nepal Pavilion and facilitated for making the program successful. The officials met and interacted with visitors underscoring Nepal’s commitment to strengthening tourism ties with Russia. 

Marking the 70th Anniversary of establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Nepal and Russia this year, NTB’s participation in MITT 2026 signals an important step aiming to attract more Russian travelers and strengthen tourism collaboration. Russian market holds substantial promise for Nepal’s tourism sector with potential travelers’ growing interest in exploring diverse destinations. With Nepal receiving over 15,000 Russian visitors in 2025, the market holds significant potential for growth, given Russians’ affinity with exploration, adventure, and rich cultural experiences.
