Nepal Tourism Board Showcases the Diversity of Tourism Products at FITUR 2025 in Madrid, SpainTuesday, January 28th, 2025

Madrid, Spain – January 26, 2025
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the national tourism organization of Nepal, in collaboration with the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), made a resounding impact at FITUR 2025, held in Madrid from January 22 to 26, 2025. With the participation of 25 tour operators from Nepal, the event highlighted Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings and strengthened its foothold in the Spanish tourism market.

Nepal’s pavilion, located at Stall No. 6A03, showcased a wide array of tourism products and destinations under the branding theme “Lifetime Experiences.” Key attractions included Nepal’s iconic offerings in mountaineering, trekking, cultural heritage, and other nature-based tourism activities. The pavilion attracted over 20,000 visitors, many of whom expressed keen interest in Nepal’s rich culture, adventure tourism, and trekking opportunities.

The Spanish tourism market, with its peak vacation season in June and July, presents a significant opportunity for Nepal. FITUR 2025 allowed NTB and NATTA to strategically engage with Spanish travelers and promote Nepal as a premier destination for adventure and cultural experiences.

Business Networking Program Marks Successful Conclusion
On January 26, 2025, NTB and NATTA jointly hosted a Business Networking Program to wrap up their participation at FITUR 2025. The program was graced by H.E. Shanil Nepal, Ambassador of Nepal to Spain, who extended his gratitude to the FITUR organizers, the tourism fraternity of Spain and Nepal, and the media for their support in promoting Nepal’s diverse tourism products.

Speaking at the event, NATTA President Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya acknowledged the invaluable assistance provided by NTB and the Embassy of Nepal in Spain. Senior Manager of NTB, Mr. Santosh Kumar Ghimire, added, “FITUR 2025 has been a vital platform to showcase Nepal’s unique tourism offerings and to build meaningful connections with key players in the Spanish tourism market. This is just the beginning of a stronger relationship between the tourism sectors of our two nations.”

FITUR 2025 was a remarkable platform for Nepal’s travel trade sector to share the essence of Nepalese hospitality – “A Journey Beyond Tourism” – and inspire Spanish travelers to explore the natural and cultural wonders of Nepal.
