Istanbul, Turkey – The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has successfully concluded its participation at the 2025 East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT), held in Istanbul from February 5-7, 2025. This grand three-day event served as a significant platform for Nepal to showcase its rich cultural heritage, adventure tourism, and spiritual experiences to an international audience.

Representing Nepal at the exhibition was an NTB delegation, accompanied by leading tour operators including Journey DMC Pvt. Ltd., Well Nepal Travel and Tours Pvt. Ltd., Nepal Social Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Crystal Adventures Pvt. Ltd., 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking Pvt. Ltd., and Adventure Outdoor Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. The collective efforts of these stakeholders highlighted Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings, with a particular emphasis on adventure trekking, pilgrimage circuits, and sustainable tourism experiences.

EMITT 2025 witnessed an overwhelming response from Turkish travelers, as well as visitors from the Balkan nations and the broader Southeast European region. The event underscored Nepal’s growing appeal in these markets, driven by increasing connectivity and a rising interest in cultural and adventure tourism.

Tourist arrivals from Turkey to Nepal have been steadily increasing, with 5,373 Turkish visitors recorded in 2024, marking a significant rise from previous years. The exhibition also provided an opportunity to strengthen Nepal’s presence in the European market, which saw substantial visitor numbers from key nations such as Germany (29,801), the UK (57,554), and France (25,126) in 2024. These figures reflect Nepal’s expanding footprint in the global tourism sector and the growing recognition of its unique travel experiences.

Nepal’s participation in EMITT 2025 aligns with its broader strategy to attract high-value travelers and promote the country as a year-round destination. NTB remains committed to fostering sustainable tourism growth through enhanced international collaborations and an expanded market reach.

With an enthusiastic response from visitors and potential business partners, Nepal’s presence at EMITT 2025 marks another milestone in its efforts to establish itself as a must-visit destination on the global tourism map. The Nepal Tourism Board extends its gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to this successful representation and looks forward to further strengthening ties with the Turkish and European travel markets in the years ahead.
