Nepal’s Participation in the Ministerial Summit at ITB Berlin 2025Thursday, March 6th, 2025

The Ministerial Summit at ITB Berlin 2025 was a significant global platform where Ministers of Tourism from 23 countries came together to discuss investment, peace, and sustainable growth in the tourism sector. Organized for the first time by UN Tourism, a UN Tourism Affiliate Member, this high-level event focused on strengthening public-private collaboration and addressing the challenges and opportunities in the global tourism industry.

Representing Nepal on the international stage, Honorable Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, actively participated in the discussions under the theme “Enhancing Investment, Ensuring Peace: Harnessing Growth, Shaping the Future.” His presence highlighted Nepal’s commitment to fostering sustainable tourism, attracting investment, and promoting Nepal as a unique travel destination.
A key focus of the summit was the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, which plays a vital role in mobilizing resources, encouraging responsible investment, and ensuring long-term tourism growth. The event allowed Nepal to showcase its tourism potential, engage with global stakeholders, and explore collaborations that can contribute to Nepal’s economic development through sustainable tourism.

This participation reaffirms Nepal’s dedication to strengthening its position in the global tourism industry and leveraging international cooperation to enhance tourism investment, ensure peace, and drive economic growth.
