NTB and Koshi Province Sign MoU for Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082Monday, December 15th, 2025

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Secretariat of Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 15, 2025 to strengthen institutional collaboration for the effective implementation of Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082. The MoU was signed by Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of NTB, and Dr. Indra Prasad Sapkota, Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism, Forest and Environment of Koshi Province, in the presence of Hon. Mr. Sadananda Mandal, Minister of Tourism of Koshi Province.

The partnership focuses on the development, diversification, branding, and national and international promotion of tourism destinations and products of Koshi Province. The collaboration also encompasses capacity building, research, and the conservation of the province’s natural, cultural, and heritage assets.

Through this cooperation, tourism is envisioned as a key pillar of Koshi Province’s economic growth, contributing to local employment generation, investment facilitation, and the promotion of sustainable and inclusive tourism development.

The joint initiative is expected to play a vital role in enhancing the visibility and positioning of Koshi Province in regional and global tourism markets during Koshi Province Tourism Year 2082.
