NTB Marks 100th Episode of #photoNepal with Special InaugurationFriday, November 28th, 2025

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) celebrated a significant milestone today as CEO Deepak Raj Joshi inaugurated the 100th episode of #photoNepal by creating an artwork on canvas, symbolizing the initiative’s creative spirit and the growing strength of Nepal’s artistic community. With this inauguration, #photoNepal proudly completes its century innings, marking a remarkable journey that has brought together artists, photographers, and audiences from Nepal and around the world through visual storytelling and cultural expression.

In collaboration with Sushma Art Gallery, NTB is organizing the #photoNepal International Group Painting Exhibition from 28–30 November 2025 at its Bhrikutimandap premises. This edition brings together 45+ Nepali artists, including senior masters and emerging talents, along with international participants from Russia, the USA, the UK, Japan, India, Bangladesh, and Ghana. Their diverse artworks explore themes rooted in Nepali culture, landscapes, spirituality, urban transitions, and contemporary interpretations, further positioning Nepal as a rising hub for art tourism. The exhibition is open to the public daily from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering an immersive experience of Nepal’s artistic depth.

As part of the broader #photoNepal initiative, NTB operates a dedicated digital photo portal, www.photo.ntb.gov.np, where photographers and enthusiasts can upload and explore images reflecting Nepal’s beauty and diversity. The platform currently hosts 25,000+ photographs contributed by more than 11,000 members, collectively portraying Nepal’s landscapes, heritage, communities, and emotions.

Launched in February 2016 with a photo exhibition of renowned Swiss geologist Dr. Toni Hagen, the #photoNepal campaign continues its mission of showcasing Nepal’s natural, cultural, and human dimensions to the world through regular exhibitions and creative collaborations.
