NTB Showcases Nepal’s Tourism Diversity at 2nd Indo-Nepal Trade FestivalMonday, February 23rd, 2026

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) successfully participated in second Indo-Nepal Trade Festival held from 20 to 22 Feb 2026 at PHD House, New Delhi, India. The festival was organized by Everest Chamber of Commerce & Industries (ECCI) in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal in India, NTB and Trade and Export Promotion Centre. The event aimed at fostering bilateral relations between Nepal and India through trade, tourism, culture & innovation with the slogan “Connecting People, Enhancing Bilateral Trade.”
The three-day event hosted more than 10 high-level sessions and policy dialogues focusing on key areas such as tourism with special focus on Ramayana and Buddhist Circuits, hydropower and energy partnerships, cross-border trade and connectivity, banking and fintech collaboration, digital economy growth, media and cultural diplomacy, youth engagement, education and innovation, the startup ecosystem, and the Indo–Nepal Cooperation Vision 2030 bringing together leading intellectuals and policymakers from both countries to advance Nepal–India relations and future cooperation.

During a key tourism session titled “Indo-Nepal Tourism Ecosystem (Ramayana & Buddhist Circuits, Spiritual Tourism, Adventure Tourism & wedding Destinations)” Off. Director from NTB Mr. Rohini Prasad Khanal highlighted on initiatives to streamline cross-border travel for Indian tourists and discussed the country’s integrated vision of promoting spiritual, adventure & wedding tourism by strengthening shared heritage circuits between the two countries.
Nepal Tourism Board’s pavilion served as a key attraction, showcasing Nepal’s diverse offerings under the themes of culture, nature, adventure along with spiritual and wellness tourism. Various promotional materials, souvenirs & information was shared among Nepal Stall visitors
Adding to the festival’s charm was the showcase of Nepali cultural performances & authentic Nepali cuisines, allowing visitors to savor the rich and diverse flavors of Nepal. A wide range of local products and handicrafts were also on display, promoting Nepal’s vibrant artisanal heritage. Moreover, several stalls from the Indian side also participated, contributing to a cross-cultural celebration that reinforced bilateral friendship and exchange.
With India continuing to be Nepal’s largest tourism source market, NTB remains focused on expanding outreach and collaboration to tap into growing interest in cross-border travel and exploration. Mr. Rohini Prasad Khanal, Off. Director, and Mr. Sagar Upadhyaya, Sr. Officer represented NTB at the event.
