NTB Welcomes Senior StaffMonday, April 2nd, 2018

Nepal Tourism Board welcomed back its top management amidst a function on Feb. 27, 2018, after a period of more than three years. The team had earlier been given clean chit by Special Court on Feb. 22, 2018, against the cases filed by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on April 3, 2015.

 

Senior Directors Ms. Nandini Lahe-Thapa, Mr. Aditya Baral, Mr. Hikmat Singh Ayer and Mr. Kashi Raj Bhandari; and Senior Managers Mr. Diwakar Rana, (Late) Mr. Dhruba Rai, Mr. Lila Bahadur Baniya and Mr. Laxman Gautam, are back in charge of their duties at NTB after the trial period. The team was welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer of NTB Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi amidst much joy and anticipation from the NTB team.

 

Welcoming the senior members of the management, Mr. Joshi expressed positivity and full confidence on working in team spirit for the benefit of tourism industry. Senior Director Mr. Aditya Baral referred to NTB as a model institution where everybody should work together for result-oriented actions. Similarly, Ms. Nandini Lahe-Thapa, Senior Director and currently heading the Tourism Marketing and Promotion Department of NTB, expressed the need to work in unity and integrity with full faith in oneself and the team for best results.

 

The Special Court also acquitted  former CEO of NTB  Mr. Prachanda Man Shrestha, former Secretary at the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation Mr. Sharad Chandra Poudel, former Joint Secretary of the same ministry Mr. Megh Bahadur Pandey, former Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Mr. Ratish Chandra Lal Suman, former Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Sushil Ghimire, former Secretary of Nepal Law Commission Mr. Ranjan Krishna Aryal, former Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Mr. Dilli Sivakoti and five former Board Members of NTB Ms. Pampha Devi Dhamala, Mr. Rewat Bahadur Thapa, Mr. Dhruba Narayan Shrestha, Mr. Tikaram Sapkota, and Mr. Phur Gyalzen Sherpa.

 

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed corruption charges against all on April 3, 2015.
