TBAN Conducts Rara Study Tour with NTB SupportThursday, May 8th, 2025
Kathmandu – A special program was organized today by the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN) in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to initiate a study visit to Rara for assessing the feasibility of tourist bus operations from Kathmandu.
The journey was formally flagged off by Mr. Hikmat Singh Ayer, Senior Director of NTB, amidst an encouraging send-off ceremony. The TBAN team will study the overall travel route, including road conditions, travel time, accommodation availability, and service infrastructure necessary for launching regular tourist bus services.
TBAN believes that establishing direct bus connectivity to Rara will significantly enhance tourism promotion in the Karnali region, offering safe and convenient access for both domestic and international travelers. Improved transport services are expected to contribute to the local economy and increase visitation to Rara Lake, one of Nepal’s most breathtaking yet remote destinations.
NTB reaffirms its commitment to strengthening tourism connectivity in underrepresented regions through partnerships and practical initiatives.
