Tourism Minister and Private Sector Discuss China Market Post Chinese President VisitFriday, October 18th, 2019

Following the successful visit of Chinese President Mr. Xi Jinping and his commitment to promote Visit Nepal Year 2020 in China, Minister of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviaiton Mr. Yogesh Bhattarai met with the representatives of Nepal’s private sector who have been working in China market for an interaction program to discuss further plans, programs, challenges and opportunities to maximize Chinese arrival to Nepal in the near future.

The program was attended by more than 50 representatives from the travel trade and the media was an intense session of analytics, presentation from NTB and feedback from the private sector regarding the areas where Government and NTB intervention were needed to prosper Chinese tourist arrival. Hon’ble Minister was positive regarding the increase of tourist arrival from China post President Xi’s visit. He encouraged the private sector to invest to facilitate Chinese tourists and expressed Government commitment to remove the obstacles and bottlenecks where necessary.
