Visit Nepal 2020 Campaign Entices Strong Support in 2019 Sales Mission in Zurich, Paris and Brussels

The Nepal Tourism Board along with leading Nepali Tour Operators organized the Nepal Sales Mission in the major tourist generating cities of Europe: Zurich, Paris and Brussels from June 17-21, 2019. The Representative of Nepal to the Permanent Mission to the United Nations, H. E. Mani Prasad Bhattarai, the Ambassador of Nepal to France, H. E. Dipak Adhikari, and the Ambassador of Nepal to Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg, H. E. Lok Bahadur Thapa delivered the welcome address in Zurich, Paris and Brussels respectively.

Cross Border Tourism Promoted in Lucknow, Patna and Varanasi

Realizing the untapped potential of cross border tourism, NTB along with HAN Chitwan and HAN- Siddharthanagar leading a group of 21 travel trade companies of Chitwan and Lumbini, organized a business session with their counterparts of Lucknow, Varanasi and Patna on June 17, 19 and 21 respectively coinciding with forthcoming VNY 2020 and existing Visit Lumbini Year 2018/19.

Nepal Participated in 33rd Travel Expo and 14th MICE Travel Expo in Hongkong

Nepal participated in the 33rd International Travel Expo (ITE) & the 14th MICE Travel Expo in Hong Kong from 13-16 June, 2019. Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) participated in the fair with six tourism companies as co exhibitors representing Nepal in the global event and exchange programme.

Certificate Distribution to Paragliding Tandem Pilots

Certificate Distribution to the 27 paragliding Tandem Pilots who have completed ‘Two Days Practical & Theoretical Tandem (T2) Exam. With this event we have almost implemented all training programs allocated in Pokhara budget. As per our estimation 1500+ stakeholders directly benefited from the training programs conducted by NTB Pokhara.

Focusing on the western travelers to India, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) conducted a tourism promotional campaign on Maharaja Express, luxury trains running on seven heritage tourism routes of North India from June 1-30, 2019.

Trees Planted at TIA New Terminal as Part of the VNY 2020 Initiative for a Greener Kathmandu

One hundred and fifty saplings of Weeping Bottle Brush Trees along with 30 other species were planted at the Tribhuvan International Airport New Arrival Terminal as a part of the Visit Nepal Year 2020 initiative to add to the greenery of the city with the objective of making it more welcoming and enduring for locals and tourists alike.
