Brand Nepal was unveiled by Nepal Tourism Board and Visit Nepal 2020 on June 27 in Kathmandu, in the presence of tourism stakeholders including the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), top Government officials, NTB Chief Executive Officer and officials, Kathmandu- based foreign diplomats, expats and Honorary Consuls, VN officials, veterans of the industry, tourism association heads and members of the private sector, artists, entrepreneurs and media.

Eric Valli Recognized as Visit Nepal 2020 Tourism Goodwill Ambassador

The Visit Nepal 2020 Secretariat has recognized renowned French photographer and film director Eric Valli as a Tourism Goodwill Ambassador for the Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign. To mark the occasion the VNY 2020 Secretariat hosted a talk program by Eric Valli prior to presenting him with the honour.

Inauguration of Millennium Trek
 

Inauguration of Signage Post of Millennium Trek. The 72 km trek starts from Gachhepani of Tanahun and ends at Rambasa of Syangja.
This all-season trek is considered as one of the best ‘mid hill trek’ of Nepal.

The interaction program held on June 25 and 26 at Janakpur regarding the issues of taxi, rickshaw and tempo driver.

Hike for Nepal – July 6
Hike for Nepal (HFN) is a community amongst hikers in Kathmandu that organizes fortnightly hiking trips around the rims of Kathmandu valley. On July 6, 2019, HFN is organizing the Suntol – Katikey – Nagarkot – Suntol Circuit Hike which will take hikers to the Northeast part of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. Janai Purnima – August 15

 

Janai Purnima is a Hindu festival celebrated all over the country, with family get together and feasts of Kwati or sprout lentils. This day is also a harbinger of rejuvenation with Hindu men renewing their ‪Janai and people flocking to Shiva temples in different parts of the country. It is a big day to observe Shaman culture.
