Hon’ble Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Yogesh Bhattarai officially launched the Visit Nepal 2020 website at an event in Kathmandu on Sept. 18, 2019. Social media handles and news portal of VN 2020 were also launched on the occasion.

Buddha Peace Trail Workshop
 

The Buddha Peace Trail Workshop was held on Sept. 13, 2019, at Bandipur, Tanahun. Seventeen local-level authorities from 6 districts as well as other parliament members and ministers from the province participated in the workshop organized by Vyas Municipality.

Bada Dashain
Sept. 29–Oct. 9
This is the longest Hindu festival in Nepal, traditionally celebrated for two weeks with prayers and offerings to Durga, the universal mother goddess. The great harvest festival of Nepal, Dashain is a time for family reunions, exchange of gifts and blessings, and elaborate pujas. Dashain honors the goddess Durga, who was created out of the shakti, or energy, of all the gods, armed with weapons from each of them.
