Nepal Tourism Board participated in the AVIAREPS Nordic Roadshow “Meet the World” held in four cities – Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo, and Copenhagen – from Nov. 11 to Nov. 14, 2019. AVIAREPS Nordic Roadshow is the first-of-its-kind tourism promotional event in Nordic countries.

Nepal Promoted at 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2019

The Second China International Import Expo (CIIE), a multi-sectoral expo that included three major aspects of economy – trade, tourism and investment, was inaugurated on Nov. 5, 2019. The CIIE 2018, the brainchild of President Xi Jinping, became a great success and hence the second edition of CIIE, i.e., CIIE 2019, was extended for 10 days where the public were also allowed to visit.

Nepal’s Tourism Prospects and Products Showcased at 35th Philoxenia Expo 2019, Greece

Nepal Tourism Board, at the behest of and in collaboration with the Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Operators, showcased Nepal’s tourism prospects and products for the first time ever in Greece in the 35th Philoxenia Expo 2019 held in Thessaloniki, Greece from Nov. 8 to Nov. 10, 2019. NTB and NATTA participated in the renowned tourism fair of Greece along with 10 private companies.

Formula E Race in Mustang in 2021

FIA, in collaboration and coordination with the Nepal Tourism Board, will host a Formula E Racing Championship in Larjung, Mustang in 2021. Founder and Chairman of Formula E Championship Alejandro Agag and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai made the announcement upon arriving in Mustang. Twelve teams from around the world will compete in the event.

Nepal’s participation with Taste of Nepal at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2019 at ExCel, London concluded successfully on Nov. 6, 2019. The fair was led by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) with 36 tourism companies from the private sector. The delegation was led by Hon’ble Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Yogesh Bhattarai.

Vivah Panchami

Vivah Panchami is a popular Hindu festival that commemorates the wedding of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. It is celebrated on the Panchami (5th day) of the Shukla Paksha (the waxing phase of moon) during the month of Margashirsha in the Hindu calendar. This corresponds to the month of November-December in the Gregorian calendar.

In the Hindu religion, this day is considered to be very auspicious as it marks the ceremonial marriage anniversary of Ram and Sita.

 

Ride To Sindhuligadhi 2019

Ride to Sindhuligadhi is back again with more vigor and excitement and promises you an experience you never had. The event will be of 3 nights and 4 days and you will discover new cultures and traditions as you travel from the hills to the Terai.

The ride will contribute towards preservation and promotion of the historical heritage fort Sindhuligadhi and the heritage city Janakpur by collating information, designing it, and disseminating to a wider audience in order to promote tourism and economic status of the locals.
