Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, assumed his office on Jan. 30, 2020. NTB officials welcomed Dr. Regmi as the new CEO amidst a program at office premises, Bhrikutimandap. CEO Dr. Regmi said he was highly inspired to work for the tourism development of Nepal and expressed his commitment, dedication, and determination for the same.

A briefing on Novel Corona Virus in the presence of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai was held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. Present in the meeting were Tourism Secretary Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, NTB CEO Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, high level Government officials, presidents and representatives of tourism and airlines associations of Nepal.

Nepal Sales Mission 2020 South India Concluded Successfully
 
Nepal Sales Mission 2020 South (Tirichirappali, Trivandum and Kochi) came to an end on a high note at Radisson Blu in Kochi on Feb. 1, 2020. The program was attended by nine different companies from Nepal where more than 85 buyers and about 7 media groups from Kochi were briefed about Nepal as a prospective market. The program was concluded by destination presentation by Sr. Manager Sunil Sharma from Nepal Tourism Board.

Maha Shivaratri

Maha Shivaratri is one of the major festivals of Nepal which literally means “Night of the Shiva”. It is celebrated on the 14th day of the dark fortnight of the Māgha month, as per the Hindu lunar calendar. It is believed that on this day, the stars in the Northern Hemisphere are at most optimum positions to help raise a person’s spiritual energy. It is also believed that the Shiva principle is most active on this day of the year.
