TIMS Card Counters Close Till Further Notice

 
Nepal Tourism Board has decided to suspend the issuance of the Trekking Information Management System (TIMS) Card for the trekkers for various trekking areas in Nepal. Hence, all the TIMS Card Issuance Counters have been closed effective from 12-noon local time, Friday, March 20, 2020, until further notice.

Meeting of Kathmandu Triennale 2020 at the Tourism Ministry

 
A meeting on KT 2020 was held at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, on March 18. The meeting chaired by the Tourism Secretary and attended by NTB CEO with representatives from different museums and art centers in Kathmandu focused on the possible partnerships to be forged between the Government and KT for the success of the art summit scheduled in Dec 2020 to Jan 2021.
 

 

UNDP Team and NTB CEO Discuss COVID-19 Impact Assessment

 
A team from UNDP Nepal met with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Dr. Dhananjay Regmi at NTB on Tuesday afternoon, Mar.17, 2020, to discuss the impact of global pandemic of Corona Virus in the travel and tourism industry of Nepal. The discussion dwelt on the assessment of situation issues and mobilization of resources to respond to the socio-economic impact in the tourism industry.
