Status Update on COVID-19

 

NTB Participates In PATA Dream To Travel Festival

 
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) participated in the Dream to Travel Festival, launched by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). The festival that will run for four weeks is an online event that brings together travel trade businesses worldwide to learn network and celebrate the power of travel during these challenging times. NTB hosted the VISIT Nepal program in the festival, exhibiting Nepal as a touristic destination for wellness and rejuvenation of body, mind, and soul in the new normal. The Nepal special session continued from July 6-10.

Kirtipur City unveiled its brand new “City on the Hill” brand logo amidst a program on July 3, 2020. The brand was unveiled at the Brand Endorsement Program held in Kirtipur. With this, the city has become the “First City with Branding” of Nepal.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Imparts Digital Training On Safety Protocol

 
In an effort to make effective use of the ‘Operational Guideline with Health Protocol for Tourism Sector‘ issued by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation MOCTCA and NTB for the resumption of the tourism sector following the months-long lockdown enforced due to the global pandemic COVID-19, NTB in collaboration with tourism organizations started online training for tourism entrepreneurs from July 2nd.

The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated as Krishna Janmashtami. Krishna, the dark-skinned god revered as a manifestation of Lord Vishnu, who taught warrior Arjuna the value of Karma in the Bhagwad Gita, was born at midnight on the eighth day of the dark moon of August which is known as Ashtami.
