New brand of Kirtipur: ‘City on the Hill’ unveiledFriday, July 10th, 2020

Kirtipur City unveiled its brand new “City on the Hill” brand logo amidst a program on July 3, 2020. The brand was unveiled at the Brand Endorsement Program held in Kirtipur. With this, the city has become the “First City with Branding” of Nepal.

The programme also witnessed a presentation on brand details, logo, and campaigns, among others was done during the program. Speaking at the programme, Mayor Ramesh Maharjan said that such a historic achievement could not be made public due to the ongoing pandemic, adding that city’s brand was confident that Kirtipur will establish itself as a famous tourist destination post the pandemic.

Speaking at the same occasion, Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, CEO of NTB highlighed the city’s specialty in food, festivals, culture among others. He also expressed commitment that NTB will cooperate with the Kirtipur Municipality to develop the city of Kirtipur as an attractive destination for both internal and external tourists. He further said that the branding has helped in lifting the tourism business from various crises in the past and likewise, it will also establish Kirtipur among domestic and foreign tourists.
