Emphasis on cooperation between Nepal and Russia for tourism promotionFriday, February 25th, 2022

On 22 Feb. 2022, a meeting was held between Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and commercial representatives from the Russian Embassy in Nepal. During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of cooperation for tourism promotion and other areas such as trade and commerce between the two countries. During the meeting NTB CEO, Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, stated that it would be possible to move forward by organizing interaction between Nepalese and Russian tourism businessmen in coordination with mutual embassies. Mr. Alexander Leonidovich Ribas, Chief Commercial Representative of the Russian Embassy attended the meeting. The tourism industry in Nepal is expanding.

Similarly, Mrs. Anastasia Antonovna Grinnova, Business Consultant of the Embassy in Nepal, India, and Southeast Asia, stated that Nepal’s tourism sector can be expanded into other commercial sectors. Previously, CEO of NTB Dr. Dhananjay Regmi and Mrs. Iullia Androsova, first secretary of the Russian Embassy in Nepal met to discuss about the prospects of cooperation between Nepal and Russia for tourism and destination promotion.
