21 Tourism Organizations participate in SATTE led by Nepal Tourism BoardThursday, May 19th, 2022

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is currently participating in the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) in India to promote Nepal’s tourism. The program which began on Wednesday, May18, 2022. The program will be attended by 21 companies, including Nepal Airlines Corporation from May 18-20, 2022. With the support of the Government of India, Ministry of Tourism, SATTE is regarded as one of the most important tourism exchange fairs in South Asia.
NTB is taking part in the exchange as part of its strategy of first promoting tourism in neighboring countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, CEO of NTB, stated that “India is Nepal’s major tourism market because NTB has also worked to promote cross-border tourism, weanticipate that all these activities will increase Indian tourist arrivals and promote Nepal.” He also stated that NTB has started attending tourism trade shows around the world as the COVID infection rate has gradually decreased.
Director of NTB, Mr. Maniraj Lamichhane said that the platform would aid in the promotion of Nepal’s tourism because regional and international tourism industries, vendors, and tourism-related organizations and personalities will be participating in the exchange. Nepal also took part in SATTE, which took place in Greater Noida, India, from March 24 to 26, 2021, and January 8 to 10, 2020.
