NTB Welcomes New Board Members, Members of NATTA & VITOFMonday, May 23rd, 2022

Newly appointed members of the NTB Executive Committee of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) were welcomed by NTB CEO Dr. Dhananjay Regmi during a program on May 23, 2022. Newly-elected President and Executive Committee Members of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) and Village Tourism Promotion Forum (VITOF) were also welcomed at the program.
As NTB prepares a new budget, newly appointed Board Member of NTB Mr. Madan Acharya stated that intense homework through discussion and coordination with all stakeholders was due for revival of domestic and international tourism. Similarly, Ms. Milan Devkota, another newly appointed Board Member of NTB, expressed positivity regarding the current scenario of increase in international arrivals and said she is committed to the tourism promotion of Nepal.

NTB CEO, Dr. Regmi, apprised the Board Member and audience about the continuous efforts put up by NTB during the crisis period of COVID-19 global pandemic. Similarly, Sr. Director Mr. Hikmat Singh Ayer, presented work done by the different departments of NTB during the current year.
During the program, NTB also honored and recognized Mr. Nara Bahadur Tandan for promotion of Nepal in Canada and the United States since 2013. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tandon presented glimpses of his promotional campaign through his 18-wheeler truck and other platforms. He requested for support for further promotion, to which he said he was dedicated.

Similarly, Mr. Gopal Bhandari, Chairman of the Employees Union of the Board, said the staff was focused on clear plan, budget for smooth execution of all programs. Similarly, NATTA President Mr. Ramesh Thapa and VITOF Chairman Mr. Gopal Thapa said that they would work with NTB for the promotion of tourism. Mr. Raj Man Manav, who is working for the promotion of tourism in Nepal through sanitation, said that sanitation is necessary for tourism and urged to pay attention to sanitation.
