Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is pleased to share the international visitor arrival statistics for May 2025, highlighting continued momentum in Nepal’s tourism recovery and growth.

In May 2025, Nepal welcomed a total of 86,216 international visitors, marking a 95.6% recovery compared to May 2024. Notably, this figure represents a 110% recovery compared to pre-pandemic levels in May 2019, signaling Nepal’s strong comeback as a favored global travel destination.
From January to May 2025, the cumulative International Visitor Arrivals (IVAs) have reached 501,264, reflecting sustained growth and confidence in Nepal as a safe and rewarding destination.
Top 5 Tourist Generating Markets (April 2025):
India – 28,160 (32.7%)
USA – 9,074 (10.5%)
China – 8,824 (10.2%)
Bangladesh – 4,280 (5.0%)
United Kingdom – 3,473 (4.0%)
Region-wise Distribution of IVAs (April 2025):
South Asia (SAARC): 34,350 (40.0%)
Asia (Other): 18,069 (21.0%)
Europe: 13,330 (15.5%)
Americas: 10,842 (12.6%)
Oceania: 2,984 (3.5%)
Middle East: 1,515 (1.8%)
Africa: 337 (0.4%)
Others: 4,789 (5.6%)
