The sixth edition of the Eastern Travel Mart 2026 was held as a three‑day event from 28 to 30 March 2026 in Itahari, Koshi Province, positioning the region as a key tourism gateway for eastern Nepal.
The Eastern Travel Mart has evolved into an annual B2B and promotional platform highlighting Koshi Province’s destinations, cultural products, adventure offerings, and tourism‑related investment opportunities. The event combines business meetings, exhibition stalls, and networking sessions to connect local operators with 100 plus Indian 4 states Bihar, west Bangal,Jharkhand, Sikkim and Bhutan’s Tour operators,Hoteliers and travel agencies.
This three Mart was organized by Nepal Tourism board, Itahari Sub Metropolitan city and Tourism associations of Eastern region of Nepal .

Central Government, Secretary for Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Mukund Prasad Niraula And Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board, Deepak Raj Joshi has Address the mart.

Eastern Region Tour Operators honored senior Director Hikmat Singh Ayer for 25 years of outstanding service in tourism. The special award highlighted his pivotal role in establishing the Eastern Travel Mart as a key platform for marketing and promotion in Nepal’s Eastern Region, fostering ties with Indian states and Bhutan.

This Mart underscores NTB’s efforts in regional tourism development, aligning with other NTB initiatives in boosting cross-border collaboration and economic growth in the region.
