Nepal to Showcase Responsible Tourism, Community-Led Conservation and Wellness Experiences at Stand N8-530
LONDON, UK / KATHMANDU, NEPAL —
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is preparing to showcase Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, being held from 3 to 5 November 2026 at ExCeL London. Located at Nepal Stand N8-530, NTB leading a delegation of 33 premium tourism businesses, including travel operators, hoteliers, conservation partners and community-based tourism organizers hopes to connect, network, exchange ideas and build strong relationships with their counterparts at the world’s leading travel show.
The participation will precisely focus on connecting international travel buyers, tourism professionals and media representatives with Nepal’s authentic, sustainable and responsible tourism experiences. With the upcoming national campaign, Nepal Wellness Year 2027, Nepal places special emphasis on holistic wellness, yoga, meditation and spiritual rejuvenation, alongside the iconic Himalayan trekking routes, cultural heritage, wildlife safaris and community-based tourism experiences.
From the majestic Himalayas to the sacred pilgrimage destinations, Nepal offers meaningful travel experiences for visitors seeking deeper connections with nature, culture, spirituality and local communities.
Key Highlights for 2026
Community-Led Wildlife Conservation
Nepal continues to showcase its commitment to wildlife conservation through collaborative efforts involving local communities, conservation partners and national parks. Its achievements include multiple zero-poaching initiatives for rhinoceroses and significant growth of wild tiger population and reflecting sustained efforts to protect the country’s rich biodiversity.
Diverse Himalayan Adventures
Beyond the Mount Everest and established trekking routes, Nepal offers a wide range of adventure experiences, including high-altitude marathons, mountain biking, white-water rafting and journeys through lesser-explored landscapes and cultural circuits. These experiences provide visitors with opportunities to discover Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural diversity beyond traditional itineraries.
Wellness, Mindfulness and Cultural Heritage
In anticipation of Nepal Wellness Year 2027, Nepal is strengthening its positioning as a destination for holistic wellness, yoga, meditation and spiritual rejuvenation. Visitors can combine wellness experiences with journeys to sacred sites such as Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and the ancient temples, monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley.
Improved International Connectivity
International air connections through major regional and global transit hubs provide travellers with access to Kathmandu and onward connections to other tourism destinations. Nepal continues to welcome visitors interested in exploring its mountains, cultural landmarks, wildlife and local communities.
Nepal Is Open: Travel That Supports Communities
The recent flash floods in the Langtang region near the Nepal–China border and along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river corridors, particularly in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts has resulted in the loss of lives, homes, businesses and livelihoods, deeply affecting local communities. While affected areas continue to face recovery challenges; tourism activities in other parts of the country still continue. Major tourism destinations including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, Annapurna region and the Everest region, remain operational, safe and accessible, subject to current local conditions and travel advisories.
NEPAL IS OPEN
To our international friends, visitors and the global tourism community, a visit to Nepal is more than a journey. It is also an opportunity to support local businesses, sustain livelihoods and stand alongside communities as they recover and move forward.
Responsible travel can help strengthen local economies, support tourism-dependent communities and contribute to the resilience of Nepal’s tourism sector.
This is a time to stand with Nepal.
This is a time to visit Nepal.
Nepal is calling.
