Nepal bags top honour at TTF Bengaluru 2019 (15-17th Feb, 2019), in Excellence Award for Best Decoration. Nepal stall was designed to reflect Nepal’s culture – a pagoda style temple showcasing Nepal’s various products.
Also, Nepal made its strong presence at TTF Bengaluru 2019 the biggest travel show network in India since the last 30 years, along with 15 travel-trade participants representing from travel and trekking agencies and airlines showcasing their packages and offering exciting packages.
TTF Bengaluru, provided a network for city’s travel trade and tourists to meet exhibitors from all over India and abroad, at Bengaluru’s Palace Ground. Travel businesses across India and abroad were well-connected under one roof at TTF Bengaluru for a face to face interaction at Palace Grounds, Tripuravasini.
The travel mart focused on sellers of Travel and Leisure, Business, MICE and Luxury Travel from all over India. The travel mart was reserved for B2B on the first day, and remaining days were open for Consumers. Nepal was a partner country for the event.
TTF Bengaluru 2019 was inaugurated by Shri SA.RA.MAHESH, Tourism Minister, Govt. of Karnataka in the presence of Shri T. K. Anil Kimar (IAS) , Secretary Tourism, Govt. of Karnataka, Smt. Priyanka Mary Francis (IAS), Shri. Sanjiv Agarwal, Charman & CEO, Fairfest Media Ltd and Shri. V Suresh, President, Faierfest Media Ltd, Shri Vijay Sharma (IFS) – Managing Director, Jungle Lodges & Resorts and Shri Kumar Pushkar, (IFS) Managing Director, KSTDC.
Both Shri SA.RA.MAHESH, Tourism Minister, Govt. of Karnataka and Shri T. K. Anil Kimar (IAS) made a gracious presence at Nepal stall, where they were welcomed by NTB officials and Nepalese delegates and were briefed about Nepal’s products. During their visit at Nepal stall, they were greeted and presented with souvenir of Nepal.
During the fair Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign was introduced to visitors with a theme of Lifetime Experiences. Nepal was showcased as a destination offering richer experiences where every journey to a destination becomes lifetime experience, an experience that creates exciting stories to tell.
Various products were briefed to visitors at Nepal stall such as adventure and culture. People from South India showed tremendous interest in visiting religious places, Muktinath in particular. Youngsters were drawn towards more onto adventure. Visitors were also briefed about Nepal Airlines Corporation direct flight from Bengaluru to Kathmandu.
Nepal witnessed healthy growth of Indian tourist arrivals in 2018, a record number of Indian visitors — more than 200,000 — were drawn to Nepal. Nepal welcomed more than 14,600 Indian travellers in the first month of 2019, which is 20.6 % growth as compared to last year.
