Pamfa Dhamala and Biplab Poudel nominated as new board members of NTBTuesday, February 19th, 2019

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has nominated Ms. Pamfa Devi Poudel Dhamala and Mr. Biplab Paudel as Executive Member of Nepal Tourism Board Executive Committee effective from February 18, 2019 for the tenure of 3 years. They are nominated by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation through the Ministerial Level Decision on February 18, 2019 as per article 9 (2) (cha) of Nepal Tourism Board Act, 2053.

Mrs. Pamfa Dhamala is the Managing Director of Langtang Ri Trekking & Expedition. She has twenty-five years’ experience in the field of trekking and tourism.  She has completed Masters in Business Administration and is involved in Nepal Mountaineering Association, Himalayan Rescue Association, Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal, and PATA Nepal Chapter in various capacities. She is also the former Executive Member of Nepal Tourism Board Executive Committee.  She received Woman Entrepreneurship award by the Nepal Ministry of Industry -2017, Nepal Woman Leader Award by CMO Asia- 2018 and 6th World Women Leadership Congress & Award- 2019.

 

Mr. Biplab Paudel is the Executive Director of Hotel Barahi, Barahi Jungle Lodge, Sarangkot Mountain Resort and Spa and the chairman of Pokhara Ultralight. He holds Post Graduate Degree from Symbiosis College, Pune, India and also did Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management from Nepal College of Travel and Tourism Management.  He was the former President of Hotel Association Pokhara and Vice President of Regional Hotel Association Pokhara. He was the Member of Program Implementation Committee and Western Regional Co-coordinator of Nepal Tourism Year 2011. He is also the member of Program Implementation Sub Committee of Visit Nepal Year 2020. He is involved in Mountain Trust Nepal-UK, Hotel Association Nepal and Nepal Swimming Association in various capacities.
