Brand Nepal was unveiled by Nepal Tourism Board and Visit Nepal 2020 on June 27 in Kathmandu, in the presence of tourism stakeholders including the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), top Government officials, NTB Chief Executive Officer and officials, Kathmandu- based foreign diplomats, expats and Honorary Consuls, VN officials, veterans of the industry, tourism association heads and members of the private sector, artists, entrepreneurs and media.

At the program, a special message was sent by the Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. K.P. Sharma Oli who appealed to all to take ownership of the brand to make Visit Nepal 2020 successful to achieve the economic development and prosperity of the country possible through tourism. Similarly, Secretary of MoCTCA Mr. Mohan Krishna Sapkota briefed the audience about the priority placed on tourism by the Government of Nepal and welcomed innovative partnerships and ideas from all for the development of tourism in the country.

The brand promotes Nepal as a destination for Lifetime Experiences, and positions Nepal as vibrant and festive suitable for travelers seeking authentic experiences. “It is about the values, the feelings and culture that Nepal is all about,” according to National Coordinator of the campaign Mr. Suraj Vaidya. The more affection we develop for the brand, the more effective promotion will be said Ms. Mary Ange Holngren-Sylvain from Image Ark who appealed to all private sector present to take ownership of the brand.
