Nepal reaches out to Korean trade and potential travelers at the 41st Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF 2026), inaugurated today at COEX Hall C and running from June 4–7. Led by NTB, the delegation includes representatives from seven private-sector tourism companies showcasing the country’s diverse tourism experiences.
Following the inauguration, VIP delegation including Chairman of KOTFA and Chief Guest visited Nepal Stall, highlighting its Everest experience, Buddhist heritage and diverse activities. SIFT 2026, one of the leading travel shows of Asia, brings together 423 organizations from 40 countries across 518 booths.
Korea is a high-value source market for Nepal, with arrival of more than 23,500 in 2025. Koreans are known for their interest in trekking, mountaineering, culture and wellness.
Enhanced connectivity, tailormade innovative packages with increase of trade and consumer promotions are expected to boost arrival from Korea. Currently, Kathmandu and Seoul are connected by Korean Air twice-weekly direct flights between Incheon (ICN) and TIA.
Nepal’s participation at the fair strengthens market presence, promotes travel opportunities, and reconnects tourism business ties between Nepal and Korea.
