Nepal Promoted as “Lifetime Experience” Destination at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2022Wednesday, November 9th, 2022
Nepal’s participation in World Travel Market (WTM) 2022, a global travel tourism exchange exhibition, organized by Reed Exhibitions, UK from Nov. 7-9, 2022, at ExCel, London, concluded successfully. All type of tourism suppliers and stakeholders from around the world: National tourism organizations, tourism ministries and authorities, global tourism organizations, tourism associations, travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers, travel tech companies, transportation operators, airliners, cruise companies, adventure sports companies, media, travel influencers, bloggers, tourism marketing consultants, tourism experts, academicians, professionals, showcased their tourism products and participated enthusiastically in the show. WTM 2022 paved the ways forward for post COVID global tourism revival and set the new travel trends for the post COVID era. WTM 2022 provided an ideal platform to reconnect the global travel fraternity after the long gap caused by COVID-19 pandemic and helped to position Nepal as an exotic and lifetime experience holiday destination in the global travel market.
Nepal Stand in the fair was inaugurated by His Excellency Gyan Chandra Acharya, the Ambassador of Nepal to the United Kingdom on Nov. 7, 2022. His Excellency visited every participating company’s booth at Nepal Stall and encouraged all the participating companies to put their efforts to promote Nepal in the best possible way to drive the traffic of tourists to Nepal. The fair was attended by 24 tourism companies of Nepal under the banner of Nepal Tourism Board. Nepal’s tourism delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board Dr. Dhananjay Regmi. Private sector participants had an opportunity to renew older business contacts as well as establish new business partnership during the fair. Nepal Stand had a huge footfall of tourism professionals, marketing consultants, media, tour operators, private companies, travel writers, influencers, media, photographers, bloggers and content creators etc. from Britain and other different countries.
Coinciding with Nepal’s participation in WTM 2022, the Embassy of Nepal in London and Nepal Tourism Board jointly organized an exclusive Nepal promotional program “Nepal Evening : A Destination Presentation Program” on Nov. 8, 2022, at Nepal Embassy in London amidst the august gathering of the renowned British mountaineers, tours operators, media and the other dignitaries. More than 100 British travel tour operators, media and dignitaries attended the event. His Excellency Mr. Acharya and CEO Dr. Regmi addressed the function highlighting various tourism facets of Nepal. Likewise, renowned British mountaineers and adventurers Sir Chris Bonington and Alan Hinkes recalled their expeditions and experience in Nepal and called upon all British people to travel to Nepal for lifetime experience.
