NTB Announces Winners of Wellness Reel Contest 2026

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has officially announced the winners of the NTB Wellness Reel Contest 2026, a nationwide digital storytelling initiative that successfully showcased Nepal’s diverse wellness tourism experiences while encouraging creative visual storytelling from across the country.

The contest received an enthusiastic response, with 111 participants submitting original reel videos highlighting Nepal’s rich wellness offerings, including yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, spiritual retreats, nature-based healing, wellness resorts, and holistic lifestyle experiences from all seven provinces.

Following the completion of the submission period, an intensive jury evaluation was conducted by renowned filmmaker Min Bahadur Bham and wellness expert Shobita Simkhada. Each eligible submission was independently assessed against a comprehensive evaluation framework based on content, message, impact and appeal, aesthetic and storytelling, and technical quality.

After a rigorous evaluation process, the jury unanimously selected Mina Kumari Raut (Koshi Province), Sumitra Acharya (Madhesh Province), Eric Nakarmi (Bagmati Province), Roshan Dhakal (Gandaki Province), Vaskar Maharjan (Lumbini Province), Santosh Buddha (Karnali Province), and Himalaya Bhatta (Sudurpashchim Province) as the Provincial Winners. Each Provincial Winner will receive a cash prize of NPR 75,000 in recognition of their outstanding creativity and contribution to promoting Nepal’s wellness tourism.

The jury also conferred the Jury Award upon Asha Poudel for her exceptional creative contribution. The Jury Award carries a cash prize of NPR 25,000.

In addition, Ranjeet Shrestha, Kailash Karki, Ghumante Budabudi, Kiran Adhikari, and Aashrit received Special Mention recognition for their remarkable storytelling, creativity, and production quality.

Congratulating the winners and all participants, Hikmat Singh Ayer, Officiating Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board, said that the overwhelming participation and exceptional creativity demonstrated through the Wellness Reel Contest reaffirm Nepal’s immense potential as a world-class wellness destination. He noted that every participant has contributed to telling Nepal’s wellness story through authentic experiences, inspiring global audiences to discover the country’s unique blend of spirituality, nature, healing traditions, and mindful living. He further expressed the Nepal Tourism Board’s sincere appreciation to all creators whose contributions have strengthened the country’s wellness tourism promotion.

The Wellness Reel Contest forms part of NTB’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Nepal’s digital destination marketing and position the country as a premier wellness tourism destination through authentic user-generated content. The initiative also complements the broader #photoNepal campaign, which continues to promote Nepal’s natural beauty, culture, heritage, and people through creative visual storytelling.

Nepal Tourism Board extends its heartfelt appreciation to all 111 participants, the distinguished jury members, and everyone who contributed to making the NTB Wellness Reel Contest 2026 a successful nationwide campaign promoting Nepal’s wellness tourism.
