NTB and NAC hold meet for joint collaborationWednesday, June 3rd, 2020
With the objective of making the tourism sector more productive, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) held a meeting between the Commercial and Marketing department of both the Organization yesterday on Tuesday, June 2nd.
The meeting chaired by NTB CEO Dr. Dhananjay Regmi discussed on the areas and markets where NTB and NAC could work together for Nepal’s tourism promotion. Mr. Diwakar Rana-Sr. Manager, NTB gave a brief presentation on the previous joint activities and possible way forward. Officials from both the sides affirmed on working together and expressed readiness to act immediately on the partnership. At a time when the country is battling against the global pandemic Covid-19 and struggling to emerge again in the industry, the meeting has been taken to be promising. The meeting decided on both parties going into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) soon which will guide for further collaborations.
The two government bodies which are under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation MOCTCA, have worked together in many signature campaigns and joint promotions, the recent being the repatriation flights arranged for the stranded tourists, in assistance of many other government bodies and concerned embassies.
