Notice Regarding Visa Services on May 7, 2021Sunday, May 9th, 2021
Due to the surging spread of global pandemic of COVID 19 new variant, Kathmandu Valley and several other parts of the country have been under lockdown since April 28. Similarly, regular domestic and international flights were suspended from May 4 and May 6, respectively. With regard to the same, the Ministry of Home Affairs has provisioned the following measures to facilitate tourists currently in Nepal regarding Visa regulation.
- Foreigners with valid Visa of Nepal until April 28, 2021, and are departing from Nepal within the lockdown time or before the flights resume or within 7 days period of flight resumption, Visa will be regulated without any charges (visa fee, late fee and penalty) at the time of their departure at the Immigration Office in Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
- Foreigners with valid Visa of Nepal until April 28, 2021, and applying for Visa renewal to continue their stay in Nepal within 7 days after lockdown period ends; Visa will be regulated without any charges (visa fee, late fee and penalty) from the Department of Immigration or Immigration Offices.
- Foreigners with a valid Tourist Visa of Nepal until April 28, 2021, the period of prohibitory order will not be considered within their 150 days stay limit in tourist visa.
