The landmark international trade fair being celebrated in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi from 13-16 April 2023 has successfully concluded with an overwhelming participation from Nepal Tourism Board and the private co-exhibitors.

For most of the Vietnamese, Nepal is a very much of a new destination and presence of Nepal here in this fair has helped promote Nepal more by disseminating information about Nepal’s tourist destinations. The four-day event was organized by Vietnam Society of Travel Agents (VITA), national level tourism organization of Vietnam. Trade plus public buyers who visited the Nepal Stall were overwhelmingly querying and gathering response regarding Nepal’s various touristic destination, immigration policy and airline connectivity.

NTB’s venture to participate this fair in Vietnam can be seen as a sign of increased tourists from Vietnam in future. However, there needs to be improved air connectivity between Vietnam and Nepal. The Chairman of VITM, Mr. Vũ Thế Bình was positive about having higher number of Vietnamese tourists visit Nepal, as the fair generated visibility and interest about Nepal for the Vietnamese public. Major media houses think that Nepal will mark a good presence in media after the event, also few of the media houses sought cooperation with NTB in promoting Nepal in Vietnam’s print, television and social media.
