Nepal Tourism Board Welcomes New Tourism MinisterMonday, April 2nd, 2018

Nepal Tourism Board welcomed newly appointed  Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Rabindra Adhikari amidst a program at its office on March 21, 2018. He was welcomed by the Chairman, Board Members and CEO of Nepal Tourism Board.

After the introductory session, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board briefed him about the functions and activities of NTB saying that NTB would work hard to achieve the goal set by the Minister. He also promised that NTB would expedite the work of website and wechat in Chinese language.

Minister Adhikari addressing the welcome program stressed on increasing the share of tourism industry in GDP. He said that the target of the contribution of tourism in GDP should be 25%. Explaining the Visit Nepal 202, he spoke about giving incentive to top tour operators who bring tourists in large number. He also said that the promotion should be focused on India and China to bring in large number of tourists in short time. He also emphasized on promoting tourism based on the feedback provided by research.
