Japan is a highly valued source market for Nepal and Nepal Tourism Board aims to reach out to the Japanese market with unique and new tourism product activities that offer travelers with Lifetime Experiences. Both countries share a warm, longstanding friendship marking 70th anniversary of their official diplomatic relations this year.

Geographically also the close proximity between the 2 nations with direct air connectivity by Nepal Airlines Corporation has helped connect with ease. The shared commitment to tourism by both countries, effort to enhance possibilities and prospects for mutual tourism growth makes their friendship even more special.  

Nepal is an attractive tourist destination and always loved by people of all ages because it has something to offer to everyone, be it mountains, hills, beautiful lakes, wildlife activities, jungle walks, rafting, bungy jumping, nature sightseeing, heritage tours, wellness experience to name a few. Tourism Expo Japan has been an instrumental platform for both countries to exchange bilateral relationship, business and benefit at the same time.

In light of recent flash floods in Langtangtang region near Nepal-China border there have been loss of lives, homes, businesses and livelihoods along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river corridor of Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts. But other areas in Nepal are normal and open and people continue to work, travel and welcome visitors as before. We would like to inform you that mainstream leisure and pilgrimage hubs remain fully operational. Major destinations like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, Annapurna region and Everest region remain operational, safe and accessible.
