NTB Successfully Participates in COTTM 2021Sunday, April 25th, 2021

Nepal Tourism Board successfully participated in the virtual China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market (COTTM) 2021 from April 14 – 15, 2021. COTTM is the leading B2B travel fair in China and Nepal has always been participating. But this year due to pandemic, it was held in virtual format.

In the event, NTB held around 15 meetings on April 15, with the Chinese buyers, individuals and those interested in Nepal. The meetings mainly discussed tourism of Nepal, Chinese people and their interest to travel again to Nepal the situation as to how people travel within, with proper health and safety protocols.

A country presentation by NTB CEO Dr. Dhananjay Regmi was made on April 14 for 20 minutes along with Q&A session. The presentation was an insight on the regular tourism products along with mid hills, a new concept for tourism development and the present tourism scenario. Through the event, we have realized, however, much digital surge there is to keep oneself in contact with others, the face-to-face meetings cannot simply replace the online one. People are hopeful of meeting in person very soon.
